Artistree Grange- Teago Theatre

This project involved converting the old Teago Grange into a new theatre space for the Artistree Community Arts Center.

The existing building was in fairly good structural condition, but required a new one sided concrete foundation be installed on the inside of the existing stone foundation. Renovations included the installation of a new steel frame so that the second floor framing could be removed to create a theatre space. The steel frame also serves to support a tension wire grid for theatre lighting access.

The interior of the building was completely gutted and all new mechanical and electrical systems were installed. The existing wood flooring was saved, along with some metal wall paneling that was removed, cleaned up and reinstalled in the entry and restroom areas to maintain the old feel of the Grange. Other work included new roof framing and roofing, insulation, sheetrock, painting, widow blackout shades, lighting support grid and exterior improvements
