Often we are asked to participate in a limited pre-qualified bidder invitation for lump sum contract projects. Projects under this format are generally awarded on a competitive bid basis. As a general contractor we take on the entire project responsibility for a lump sum cost and have the responsibility of coordinating the schedule, subcontractor performance, material purchases and delivery, quality control, self performed aspects of the project, safety and project profitability.
