Ludlow - Passive house - Private Residence

Passive house built in Ludlow, VT. Construction consists of slab on grade with R-14 below slab. Exterior walls are 8 inch SIP with 1” of rigid insulation over that for a total of R-58. Roof consists of 12” SIP panels with 8” of rockwool insulation for a total of R-74. This build achieved blower door air tightness of 0.64 ACH50. Window and exterior doors have a U value of 0.12. Building is heated and cooled by a ducted heat pump system. Other systems include an ERV and ducted, pressure sensitive make up air for the dryer.
